本課程包含了免疫學、細菌學、病毒學及黴菌學。主要目標為教導學生了解引起人類疾病的各種生物性致病原，以及自身免疫系統如何防禦及對抗外來致病原之課程。學生在修習本課程後，預期應該達到本校醫學生畢業所具備六大稱職能力之專業知識、實作導向之學習與改進和人際關係及溝通技巧。
The content of this course includes immunology, bacteriology, virology, and mycology. The aims of this course are to provide the basic knowledge about immunology and microbiology to students. Additionally, students will know how the pathogens induce diseases and how the host defense system destroys the pathogens. After studying this course, students should achieve the general competencies, including medical knowledge, practice-based learning and improvement, and interpersonal skills and communication, for medical students.
