延續生物藥劑學及藥物動力學，使學生有能力解決臨床上所遭遇到的藥動學及藥效學的問題，並了解監測藥物治療應考慮所有相關資料，包括病患個別資料、疾病狀態、檢驗數值等，而不只是藥物血中濃度的監測；能夠找出在劑量上存在潛在性問題的病人，並且應用藥動學方法計算處方劑量，設計適當的藥動學模式。
Clinical pharmacokinetics is the application of pharmacokinetic priciples to the safe and effective therapeutic management of drugs in an individual patient. Primary goals of clinical pharmacokinetics include enhancing efficacy and decreasing toxicity of a patient's drug therapy.
