經由本課程的選修,期望學生得以瞭解各種癌症標靶治療藥物的作用原理及形成抗藥性的主要機制。
Targeted therapies using specific inhibitors against cell surface markers and signal transduction molecules have been viewed as promising strategies for cancer therapy. However, the development of drug resistance remains the major issue limiting their therapeutic efficacy. This lecture will (1) introduce major cellular signaling pathways involved in cancer development to identify potential targets for therapeutic interventions, (2) describe how targeted therapies may work in the treatment of various tumors, and (3) assess the current knowledge of the molecular mechanisms conferring to intrinsic/acquired resistance of targeted therapies.
