臉孔知覺是一個重要且蓬勃發展的跨領域研究議題。本課程將由認知科學、神經科學、發展心理學、臨床病人的臉孔辨認缺損,以及他種族效應、臉孔特質推論等多重觀點介紹人類臉孔知覺的特性、模型與發展,臨床缺損的症狀,以及生活中的應用,期望修課同學能從中找到具體的臉孔知覺相關研究子題。
Face perception has long been a source of interest to scientists across many disciplines. In recent years, this breadth of interests, approaches, and expertise has led directly to rapid advances in our understanding of how we perceive and process faces in social context. This course aims to review the state-of-the-art findings from the perspectives of cognitive science, neurosciences, developmental psychology, and clinical patients with impaired face perception. We also include the topics of the other-race effect and face-to-trait inference. The course objective is to help the students find their own topics of interest for a research project. This course will be given in English.
