臉孔知覺(face perception)是一個非常重要且蓬勃發展的跨領域研究議題。本課程將由認知科學、神經科學、計算視學、發展心理學、及臨床病人的臉孔辨認缺損等多重觀點介紹人類臉孔知覺的特性、模型與發展,期望修課同學能從中找到具體的研究子題。
Face perception have long been a source of interest to scientists in a wide range of disciplines. In recent years, this breadth of interests, approaches and expertise has led directly to rapid advances in our understanding of many different aspects of how we perceive and process faces. The aim of this survey course is to reflect current knowledge from the perspectives of cognitive science, neurosciences, computational vision, developmental psychology, and clinical patients with impaired face perception. The course objective is to help the students find their own topics of interest for a research project. This course will be given in English.
