The present course focuses on basic and clinical neuroscience. This course differs from neurology and psychiatry courses in medical school in that it stresses an integrated view of different aspects of neuroscience, including neuronal, glial, and The brain is the most complicated organ in the human body, and thus understanding how the brain works requires knowledge many other fields of science. This is an integrated and inter-disciplinary course that focuses neurovascular networks in the brain. Students selecting this course are expected to have some backgrounds in basic cell biology. Based on fundamental neuroscience, students will learn the neurobiology of disease and recent advances in clinical neurology and psychiatry.
