本課程的主軸有三，第一是教導學生安裝並使用SAS軟體，第二是教導學生數種分析方式，比方說信度分析、單因子與雙因子變異數分析與簡單回歸分析，最後是教導學生SAS語法。本課程不著重於繁瑣的紙筆運算與困難的程式語言撰寫，重點是放在如何將大筆的數值資料或問卷資料做簡單的分析。
The introductive level course of using SAS for statistic is to teach how to install SAS 9.X software in personal computer. No complex algebra or statistics are appeared in this course. Instead, I will focus on how to use the SAS software to do statistic and the meaning of these results. The SAS software is also famous on its flexibility; therefore, I will also talk about how to write your own program using SAS. No need to learn any computer language before taking this course, but if you have your own laptop is preferred.
