A general introductory course designed to enhance critical listening and acquaint students with musical elements and the primary musical periods of traditional Western European classical music.
教學目標Course Objectives
建立欣賞古典音樂之基礎常識與概念，包括樂曲類型，樂器音色特徵，'樂曲創作時代背景，及對作曲家生平背景瞭解與對其作品風格特色的影響。學生可依循課堂所建立的方向，繼續更深入的探討古典音樂的世界。
This course is the general guideline for the history of western music. Students will learn about concepts of genres, historic events,timbres of various instruments, characters and backgrounds of various periods, along with selected composers and their music. The primary goal is to develop knowledge, understanding, and skills related to the music history.
