西方草藥的知識已經從學術殿堂擴展到實際的應用層次。為了讓同學了解西方草藥的實際狀態，將以科學文獻、傳統來源及近代應用為內容，認識西方草藥的現代與傳統理論與應用。
The knowledge of the western herbal materials and therapeutics is developed and extended from entry academic level to practical level. In order to reach the practical level, the evaluation of modern and traditional theory and practice is directed towards review and challenge of current approaches through in depth review of the scientific literature, traditional sources and current practice.
