全球“回歸自然”的趨勢下，賦予了中草藥相關產品開發利用大展鴻圖的好機會。本課程內容旨在以實例說明，指導學生靈活應用所學之專業、進階科目知識，採取科學化、合理化，多方向、多層次的思考模式與方法，以新藥開發為中心，並兼及中草藥藥材在保健食品、美容化妝品、生活日用品、天然色素...等多領域有潛力新產品的開發利用上，進行研究探討，並瞭解其中之研究思路、程序及注意事項等。
Under recent worldwide trend of “return to the nature”, it entrust Traditional Chinese Medicine or relative botanicals a good opportunity in product development and exploitation. In this curriculum, the main objective is through adequate case or example showing to coach the students to apply nimbly their professional and advanced knowledge what they learnt in the college in the model thinking of new drug or innovative new product developing. Besides of focusing on new medicine development, using natural, herbal ingredients in the potential utilization of health foods, cosmeceuticals, daily life necessities etc will be mentioned in the lesson course also.
